Mike Murphy has been named special projects director at Protocol.
“I’m going to be looking after our Manuals projects as well as looking at other special reports as we move into 2021,” he wrote on Twitter.
He joined the tech news site in 2019 as its transformation editor, focusing on the industries being rapidly upended by technology, and the companies that are disrupting their incumbents.
Previously, Murphy was technology editor at Quartz, where he frequently wrote on robotics, artificial intelligence and consumer electronics.
