Personal finance site The Motley Fool has launched a free application available on Android and iPhones.
“At The Motley Fool, we don’t just empower people to take control of their financial lives, we provide the tools to do it including trustworthy advice and analysis for navigating the financial markets,” said Thomas Jones of The Motley Fool in a statement.
“Partnering with Zumobi, we can now add smartphone apps to the list of tools we offer to help individual investors achieve market-beating returns. Additionally, Zumobi’s app network model can help us reach new audiences on any device, so that we can continue to expand the world’s greatest investment community.”
News categories are organized along a scrolling horizontal menu at the top, leading with the top stories on the home screen. From the menu, users can read specific news in sector coverage, as well as access archives from the Motley Fool Money and MarketFoolery podcasts.
Users can utilize the ticker search located below the menu to search individual company stock data, graphs and relevant articles. Additional app features include the ability to save articles within the app or via the ‘Email to me’ function, as well as the option to share content via Twitter, Facebook or email.
