Mossberg speaks with Charlie Rose about his career as a tech journalist

Walt Mossberg, who retired earlier this month after founding tech news site Recode with business partner Kara Swisher, and who covered tech for more than 20 years at The Wall Street Journal, spoke with Charlie Rose about his career.

Mossberg received the 2017 Loeb Lifetime Achievement Award las month.

This annual award recognizes an individual whose career exemplifies the consistent, superior insight and professional skills necessary to further the understanding of business, financial and economic issues.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
