Bloomberg Government, the new service from Bloomberg that is aiming for a Jan. 1 launch, has released more details on its site about what it’s going to be doing.
For example, with legislative and regulatory coverage, Bloomberg Government said it will give readers “a breakdown by agency of proposed Federal Register rules and notices. Drill down with fast searches by agency, identifier number, even citation. Tracking bills and supporting data is just as easy.”
In the government spending category, Bloomberg says, “Our comprehensive database of grants and contracts includes existing contracts and agency set-asides. It also breaks out the figures by industry — from total annual spending and active contracts to details on individual awards. You’ll be able to pinpoint specific opportunities for business development and broadly view the changing landscape to inform your long-term strategy.”
The service, according to the site, “puts the past, present and future of policy in one place. Congressional, agency and industry data are integrated to provide greater transparency into the policy landscape. Directories, economic analyses and surveys help you follow your industry to form the right relationships. Campaign contribution information lets you see interests and influence.”
