Kira Bindrim of Crain’s New York Business has more details on the new weekly business newspaper being launched in England by her paper’s parent company.
The publication will have its first issue in December.
“‘Manchester has led the way as one of Europe’s most ambitious and dynamic business centers and continues to ensure that it lives up to its recent accolade as the ‘Best City for Business in 2006,” Mr. Porter said in a statement, citing a 2006 survey by research firm OMIS Britain. ‘It was a natural choice for the first U.K. local business journal.’
“Detroit, Mich.-based Crain already has a presence in the U.K, where it’s London-based European Rubber Journal,, and newly-launched Business Insurance Europe all operate. The company also recently took over Croydon-based Plastics & Rubber Weekly and European Plastics News.”
