More changes at Dow Jones Newswires

The following announcement was sent out Wednesday by Dow Jones Newswires editors Gabriella Stern and Linda Fung:

“I’m pleased to let you know about a reorganization of the Dow Jones News Service that we believe will strengthen our news-breaking abilities.

“Assistant Managing Editor George Stahl will assume responsibility for the corporate beats handled by reporters in New York ,  Philadelphia and Boston. Reporting to him will be News Editor Nick VonKlock.

“George’s team of tech, media, telecom and health-care reporters will continue reporting to him. Nick’s crew of retail, food, consumer products, restaurant and general assignment reporters will continue reporting to Nick.

“George will continue reporting to Linda Fung.

“Congratulations to George on his newly expanded assignment. George joined Dow Jones Newswires on the spot news desk in 1996 after a couple years as a copy editor at the Gannett Suburban Newspapers in New York .”
