MoneyShow.com hires former CNBC, SmartMoney.com staffers

MoneyShow.com, an online site that has videos and text about investing news, has hired former CNBC anchor Karen Gibbs as host of the MoneyShow.com Video Network and former SmartMoney.com markets editor and columnist Igor Greenwald as Global Investing editor.

As host of the MoneyShow.com Video Network, Gibbs will interview the leading economic, financial, and investment experts for popular video segments that appear on MoneyShow.com, its media partner MSN Money, and other Web sites.

Gibbs has a wide range of broadcast experience, including co-anchor of “Wall $treet Week with Fortune” and senior business correspondent, contributor, and substitute anchor for “Fox News Channel’s Your World with Neil Cavuto” and “Cavuto on Business,” where she was also a regular panelist. She also was an anchor at CNBC.

As global investing editor, Greenwald will oversee the editorial direction of the global section of MoneyShow.com, which includes strategies from independent advisers, Q&As with fund managers, and other experts on international investing and specific investment ideas for investors to consider in markets around the world. He also will contribute a weekly commentary on global markets and economies.
