Money reporter Leonhardt leaving magazine

Megan Leonhardt

Money magazine reporter Megan Leonhardt is leaving the magazine after two years.

Her last day is Thursday.

“I’m really excited about the new opportunity, but today is about wishing all of my colleagues at Money well and thanking the team for the opportunity to contribute,” said Leonhardt in an email.

Leonhardt has been at the personal finance magazine since April 2016, covering consumer protection issues and financial policy for both print and digital audiences, as well as leading many of Money’s data projects such as Best Banks, Best Cell Phone Plans, Best Career Skills and Best Meal Kits for Your Money.

She also helped to produce much of Money’s travel coverage, including the annual Best in Travel package.

Before Money, she was a senior editor and associate editor for WealthManagement.com. She also worked as a reporter for Law360.com.

She is a graduate of Ohio University.
