Money magazine publisher leaving for USA Today

Money magazine publisher Brett Wilson has been named senior vice president of advertising sales at USA Today, writes Joe Strupp of Editor & Publisher.

Strupp writes, “Wilson spent 21 years at Time Inc., serving as publisher of Money since November 2007. ‘In that role, he was responsible for all aspects of the business side of the magazine,’ the release stated. ‘Previously, he was associate publisher for Time Magazine. Prior to that, he was Group Associate Publisher, managing all new sales efforts for Fortune, Fortune Small Business, Business 2.0, Money, and CNNMoney.com.’

“Wilson’s years at Time Inc. included stints as associate publisher for Money, advertising director for Sports Illustrated, advertising manager and director for Time Magazine, and advertising manager for Southern Living Magazine. He started his career with Time Inc. as regional marketing manager for Southern Living Magazine in 1987.”
