Moffat named senior editor for energy/commodities at Bloomberg

Anne RIley Moffat

Anne Riley Moffat has been named senior editor on the energy and commodities team at Bloomberg News.

Moffat will start her new position later this summer.

She has been consumer editor and team leader since April 2018, overseeing news about retail, restaurants and other consumer companies. Before that, she was automotive editor on the global business team and briefs editor. Moffat has been with Bloomberg since March 2013.

Moffat was previously managing editor and associate editor at American Metal Market.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
