George Talbot, a business reporter for the Mobile Press-Register in Alabama, is becoming the paper’s political editor, according to a short story in Sunday’s paper.
“Talbot twice has been part of a business reporting team that won top national honors from the Society of American Business Editors and Writers. In addition, he has received first-place honors in the prestigious Green Eyeshade Awards for Southern newspapers.
“As political editor, Talbot will continue to report, penning a political column and covering issues of local, statewide and national interest.”
