MLive business reporter Dana Afana is leaving the news organization to join the Detroit Free Press.
Her last day is Friday. She will start at the Free Press next month and cover City Hall and elections.
Afana has been at MLive since August 2016. She has covered transportation issues locally and regionally, and countywide commercial real estate and business stories. She led its coverage on Detroit’s revitalization, Mayor’s office, initiatives to reduce blight, business developments, economic and entrepreneurial news.
Afana is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University.
