Eileen Guo has joined MIT Technology Review as a senior reporter for tech policy, ethics, and social justice while continuing her coverage on inequality and injustice.
For the past six years, Guo has also been working freelance. Her work has received support from the International Women’s Media Foundation (2017, 2018), the Fund for Investigative Journalism (2020), and Type Investigations, where she is a 2020 Ida B. Wells fellow.
Her work has also been published in the National Geographic, New York Times online, Playboy, Wired, Vox, South China Morning Post, Columbia Journalism Review, Teen Vogue, and on public radio, among others.
Guo was also co-founder and managing partner of Impassion Afghanistan, a social enterprise that provides social media and mobile solutions to help governments, international organizations, businesses, and communities engage in the networked world.
She also served as launch editor and senior advisor for strategy at Innovations: Technology | Governance | Globalization.
She was also founding curator, Norfolk Hub at Global Shapers Community and has held the posts of leadership development for digital communications at McChrystal Group and Tufts Field Exercise in Peace and Stability Operations (FieldEx), respectively.
