Minyanville hires former Portfolio.com deputy editor

Former Condé Nast Portfolio.com deputy editor Megan Barnett will join Minyanville.com as deputy editor, according to a release.

Barnett will lead the business and finance news reporting and analysis for Minyanville.com.Â

A graduate of the University of Virginia, Barnett has a background in finance. As deputy editor of Condé Nast Portfolio.com, Barnett reported and blogged on a wide range of financial topics, including breaking news, investment banking, hedge funds, private equity and economics.

She also served as staff writer for SmartMoney, investigator reporter and staff writer for U.S. News and World Report, and writer for The Industry Standard’s San Francisco and New York bureaus.
