John Bodette of the paper writes, “Ikeogu was heavily involved in campus media at St. Cloud State. She was a reporter, news editor and editor-in-chief at University Chronicle, the school newspaper.
“At KVSC-FM, she was a news host, disc jockey and assistant news director for the campus radio station. Ikeogu also was a producer for UTVS-TV, the campus television station.
“Despite all those activities and a heavy class load, she also found time to be the co-president of the university’s Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists.
“In her new role at the Times, Ikeogu will be focusing on business and consumer news, a key topic in St. Cloud.
“She will be contributing to the Bright Ideas feature in the Sunday edition. Job creation, innovation and entrepreneurship is a big part of our business beat.”
