Anna Haecherl has been hired by the St. Cloud Times newspaper in Minnesota as its business and consumer reporter.
News director Lisa Schwarz writes, “Next to arrive on the scene is Business & Consumer Reporter Anna Haecherl, who arrived at the Times on Jan. 16 and rapidly found herself caught up in one of the biggest business stories to hit town in years: the planned closure of the Electrolux freezer plant and the loss of about 900 local jobs.
“Anna spent more than two years as a reporter at the Marshall Independent, a daily newspaper in her native southwest Minnesota, before turning her hand to public relations work at a Sioux Falls, South Dakota, firm.
“But she missed the news, so PR’s loss is the reader’s gain. Anna’s varied interests include craft beer, whiskey and music. “
