Britt Johnsen has been hired by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal to cover residential real estate, manufacturing, food and beverage production and diversity reporter, replacing Nick Williams, who transferred to the Milwaukee Business Journal.
Dirk DeYoung of the Minneapolis/St. Paul paper writes, “Britt joins the Business Journal after a nearly 12-year career at various outlets, most recently as a multimedia reporter at Southwest News Media with a focus on covering the Savage community. She also worked at 10 Missions Media, Patch and was a business editor at the St. Cloud Times for more than three years.
“Britt has won several journalism awards, including the Sigma Delta Chi Award from the National Society of Professional Journalists and a first-place award from the Minnesota Newspaper Association for coverage of the Great Recession.
“She is a graduate of the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities with a B.A. In English with a minor in journalism.”
