Alex Van Abbema joined the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal’s newsroom last week to cover retail, restaurants, food and beverage producers and business travel.
A story on its website states, “He’s no stranger to the Business Journal. Last summer, Alex was an intern here, writing daily posts but also spearheading a special Cover Story project on the biggest franchisees based and operating in Minnesota.
“Alex is a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a bachelor’s degree in journalism with a business management minor.
“‘I’m thrilled to have Alex back with us,’ said Business Journal Editor Dirk DeYoung. ‘He brings with him a keen interest in what makes business people tick, and he wants to create content that serves them.'”
