Barrow had left the Dayton Business Journal, also an American City Business Journals newspaper, in early July. She had worked there for three years covering real estate and downtown and had been a senior reporter.
Barrow is a UNC-Chapel Hill graduate from the School of Journalism and Mass Communication. She interned at the Triangle Business Journal in Raleigh while in college.
While at UNC-CH, Barrow worked for The Daily Tar Heel.
