Hannah Miet, managing editor for real estate news organization The Real Deal in Los Angeles, is leaving for a job outside of journalism.
In a farewell email to colleagues and sources, Miet wrote:
Thank you for all the help, love and time you have given me and The Real Deal LA in its first two years. It has been a wild, rewarding ride.
Tomorrow will be my last day at The Real Deal. I am making a big (and exciting!) career shift to the other side — to focus on editorial content at JLL, a national client-facing marketing role. I’ll be based in DTLA, but traveling often.
Before the Real Deal, Miet spent 18 months at the Los Angeles Business Journal as its real estate reporter. She also worked for Vocativ.
Miet is a graduate of Hunter College and has a master’s degree from the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism.
