Mergermarket has hired Ethel Jiang to be a reporter in its Charlottesville, Virginia, office.
She will cover deals in the Southeast and starts this week.
Jiang has been a fellow at Business Insider’s Markets Insider site for the past eight months, writing three to six posts a day covering the latest stock movements, fun facts of technology companies and market trends.
She interned last summer at Morning Consult. She also worked for The Wall Street Journal as a news assistant in Beijing.
Jiang holds a bachelor’s degree from Renmin University of China and a master’s degree from Northwestern University.
