ME of Dow Jones Investment Banker leaving

Rick Stine, senior editor of Dow Jones Newswires, sent out the following announcement to the staff on Wednesday:

I wanted to let you know that Adam Smallman’s last day at Dow Jones will be this Friday, December 24. Adam will become the top editor at Lloyd’s Register in London where he will oversee publication of the group’s shipping newspaper and website.

Adam has been with Dow Jones Newswires for nearly 11 years. He most recently was managing editor for Dow Jones Investment Banker but his role was much bigger than that. Adam was crucial in defining the product and bringing it to market and has been a tremendous help to the sales organization in speaking with a list of prospects that continues to build.

Before DJIB, Adam was managing editor for energy in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

We thank Adam for his years of service and wish him the best of luck.
