Kathleen McLaughlin has been named the business editor of The Bend Bulletin in Oregon.
She replaces Joe Ditzler, who went to the Santa Fe New Mexican.
She has been at the paper since June 2015, most recently covering the technology industry. Previously at The Bulletin, she covered health and medicine, writing articles for the daily edition, weekly feature section and quarterly glossy magazine.
As the business editor, she will also cover real estate and write several stories a week.
Before moving to Oregon, McLaughlin worked at the Indianapolis Business Journal for six years and received the First Amendment Award from the Society of Professional Journalists Indiana chapter.
She also worked at the Riverfront Times in St. Louis as a staff writer and at the Sarasota Herald-Tribune as a business reporter.
McLaughlin is a University of Missouri graduate.
