Mashable tech reporter Flynn is leaving

Kerry Flynn

Kerry Flynn, a business reporter for Mashable covering the tech industry, is leaving the website.

Her last day is Friday.

Flynn will start a new, undisclosed job on April 16 covering the business of social media.

“I joined Mashable the day Verizon bought Yahoo and the world of big tech news continued to get crazier, from #DeleteUber to now #DeleteFacebook,” said Flynn in an email. “Mashable is an incredible brand at the forefront of tech and culture coverage, and I was blessed to be a part of it. I wish them the best in the future, and I’m really looking forward to my next gig. Stay tuned.”

Flynn previously reported on social media companies, mobile apps and startups for International Business Times. She has also written for The Huffington Post, Forbes and Money magazine.

She studied environmental science and economics at Harvard College, where she led The Harvard Crimson’s metro news and design teams and played mellophone in the band.
