MarketWatch.com has hired Aaron Hankin as a reporter covering blockchain, bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.
He started on Monday.
Hankin previously was a staff writer at Investopedia covering everything from company news to macro-economic trends. After nine years in banking, Hankin turned to reporting, graduating from New York University with a Master’s in Business and Economic Reporting.
In banking, he worked for the National Australia Bank in New York and the Bank of New Zealand in Wellington, New Zealand, primarily focusing on foreign exchange trading. At National Australia, he was director of emerging markets trading.
Hankin holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Canterbury.
