MarketWatch seeks a sharp, nimble reporter to cover financial markets, with a tilt toward the hedge-fund industry and other major buyside investors.
The ideal candidate would be clued into how major investors see financial markets, how they are trying to profit and be able to chronicle both their successes and failures. This candidate would also be able to assist in MarketWatch’s coverage of breaking news on markets, tracking moves in everything from stocks to bonds and everything in between, with an eye toward setting up the U.S. team’s financial-market coverage.
Essential job requirements
- Monitoring and quickly and accurately writing about the strategies and tactics of institutional investors.
- Developing and cultivating sources within the asset management business.
