Marketwatch.com launches online video series

MarketWatch.com has launched a new online video series, ‘Media Matters’ – an ongoing interview series with newsmakers from the worlds of film, television, radio, print and online journalism to discuss hot button issues and trends in their respective media.

Hosted by MarketWatch media columnist Jon Friedman from Michael’s restaurant in midtown Manhattan, new segments will be posted on the first and third Monday of each month on MarketWatch.com and across The Wall Street Journal Digital Network.

Media Matters launched Monday with a conversation with IMAX Corp. CEO Rich Gelfond as he discussed the company’s foray into Hollywood, the success of “Avatar” and the future of IMAX and 3-D technology.

Up next on Monday, March 15, is a two-part interview with Ken Auletta, writer of the Annals of Communications column for The New Yorker and author of “Googled: The End of the World As We Know It.”
