MarketWatch.com launches “Best New Ideas” podcast

MarketWatch.com’s new podcast, co-hosted by editor in chief Jeremy Olshan and economist Stephanie Kelton launched Thursday.

Best New Ideas in Money” aims to explore ways money can actually be a force for good in the world.

Olshan and Kelton will talk to leaders in business, tech, finance and government about the next phase of money’s evolution, and meet people whose lives are being changed as these new ideas are put to the test.

Olshan has been overseeing MarketWatch.com since 2014. He is Barron’s Group managing editor for audience and engagement and MarketWatch head of content.

Kelton is an economist and academic. She is a professor at Stony Brook University and a senior fellow at the Schwartz Center for Economic Policy Analysis at the New School for Social Research.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
