Fortune staff writer Polina Marinova announced Monday that she is leaving the magazine at the end of this week to work on her newsletter The Profile full-time.
She has been the main writer for Fortune’s The Term Sheet newsletter.
“The goal is to build what is currently a weekly newsletter into a standalone business,” said Marinova in a message.
The Profile features the best long-form stories on people and companies in business, tech, sports, entertainment, and more.
Marinova joined Fortune in 2014. She has covered entrepreneurship, venture capital, and Uber. She hosted a Facebook Live series called “Founder Friday” and worked on some Fortune lists, including 40 Under 40 and The Fortune Entrepreneurs.
Previously, she worked at OZY, CNN, and USA Today.
