Marijuana Business Daily named one of Inc.’s fastest-growing private companies

Marijuana Business Daily has made Inc. magazine’s list of fastest-growing private companies for the second year in a row, ranking No. 528 out of 5000.

It also ranked No. 10 in the category of “Top Media Companies.”

Founded in 2011, Marijuana Business Daily, has posted a three-year growth of 843 percent, reaching $10.1 million in revenue in 2016.

Marijuana Business Daily includes a daily news website, print magazine, industry data and market research reports, and the Marijuana Business Conference & Expo, which has been named the fastest-growing trade show in the United States for both 2015 and 2016.

“MJBizDaily making this list again, is yet another marker to the rest of the world that this is a serious, sustainable and professional business,” said Cassandra Farrington, co-founder and CEO, in a statement.

“Here at MjBizDaily, we continue to work hard to stay a step ahead of the accelerated pace set by this industry. We’ve increased out editorial staff and coverage to include new beats covering Canada and Hemp,” she added. “We are growing the educational portion of MJBizCon, increasing our panel discussions and breakout sessions. And of course, we’ve made moves to increase of our show floor and quantity of exhibitors, without sacrificing quality.”

  • I wonder if the publishers in Canada operate with bank accounts, and have other business issues such as issuance of regular payroll checks, mail the magazines to subscribers, etc.
