Michael Warshaw, formerly the technology editor at the Boston Globe, is the new business editor at the Portland Press Herald and Maine Sunday Telegram.
Warshaw’s first day on the new job is today.
“I’m really just getting my feet wet, so no plans to talk about at this point,” said Warshaw in an email to Talking Biz News. “There’s a brief item in the paper tomorrow, I believe, with a bio.”
Warshaw had been with the Globe from July 2007 to October 2012. He also oversaw the Globe 100 and the Top Places to Work section for the paper. For the past 15 months, he has been director of communications and strategic public affairs at Becker College in Worcester, Mass. He was also editor in chief of Worcester magazine for six years.
Warshaw was also a senior editor at Inc. magazine and at Fast Company magazine in the 1990s.
He is a graduate of Clark University.
