Main Bloomberg site down due to internal glitch

Bloomberg.com, the main news site for Bloomberg News, went down Tuesday afternoon after the close of the stock markets.

The site was down for about 25 minutes due to an internal glitch.

It was back up shortly after 5:15 p.m.

The down time comes just before the news service is about to merge its Businessweek.com site and Bloomberg website into one. The company is also working on new website in a bid to attract more non-Wall Street readers.
