Jonathan Keehner, a reporter on the finance team at Bloomberg News who covers restructuring and mergers, has left the news organization for a public relations firm.
Keehner has gone to work for Joele Frank, Wilkinson Brimmer Katcher, a corporate communications firm that represents companies that are involved in mergers and acquisitions.
Keehner could not be reached for comment, but three people from Bloomberg News confirmed the move.
Keehner has also written for Newsweek, Reuters, Dow Jones Newswires and The Wall Street Journal. He has an undergraduate degree from Columbia University in 2000 and a masters degree in business and economic reporting from New York University in 2006.
Before journalism, Keehner worked as an investment banking analyst at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and Credit Suisse. He was also a vice president at Fletcher Asset Management for three years.
