Greg Roumeliotis, editor in charge of mergers and acquisitions reporting at Reuters, sent out the following announcement on Friday:
I’m sorry to announce that Nadia Damouni is leaving Reuters to join one of the world’s largest public relations firms. Her last day with the company is June 10.
Nadia joined us five years ago in New York, serving first as TMT M&A reporter, then Corporate Boards reporter, and, more recently, as M&A Team Leader. She has broken a range of high-impact and market-moving stories about activism, deals, boardroom intrigue and succession at companies such as Microsoft, BlackBerry and HP. Nadia has now decided to pursue a new career in the world of financial communications, where her skills and contact book will no doubt come in very handy. We will miss Nadia’s incredible drive, professionalism, collaborative spirit, and, of course, big scoops. Please join me in wishing Nadia all the best in her new job – and in preparing to cultivate her as a source!
