Ryland Barton has taken on the newly created role of managing editor for collaboratives at Louisville Public Media.
In this role, Barton will serve as the editorial and operational leader of the Ohio Valley ReSource, a regional journalism collaborative reporting on economic and social change in Kentucky, and the Kentucky Public Radio Network.
Previously, Barton held the post of Capitol bureau chief at Kentucky Public Radio. He has also covered politics and state government for NPR member stations KWBU in Waco and KUT in Austin.
Barton has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Chicago and a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Texas.
