Louisville Biz First names editor Benson its publisher

Louisville Business First has promoted editor Lisa Benson to the publisher role.

Reporter Chris Larson writes, “Benson is currently editor and oversees the editorial department for the Louisville-based business newspaper and website. Her appointment is effective July 1.

“She joined Louisville Business First as editor in November 2015. Previously, she was the managing editor for the Cincinnati Business Courier, a sister paper of Business First. She joined the Courier in 1999 and held numerous positions, including associate editor, web editor and research director.

“‘I’m thrilled for the opportunity to lead such a well-respected publication as Louisville Business First,’ Benson said. ‘I look forward to using the experience I’ve gained over nearly 20 years on the editorial side of the operations to help Business First respond quickly and creatively to the changing needs of our audience.'”
