City University in London is offering scholarships to visiting academic faculty interested in teaching financial and / or business journalism in the context of globalization. The scholarships are for three months (mid-September 2008 – mid-December 2008) and are worth 13,000 euros (approximately $16,800).

Professors would be required to teach on a Master’s in global business reporting (details at: www.mundusjournalism.com). Specifically they would be responsible for one course on financial and/or business reporting (approximately 3 hours contact time per week for 12 weeks). Class enrollment is 10-15 students. During the remainder of their time they would be free to pursue their research interests, if appropriate collaborating with City faculty.

The scholarships are available for the 2008-9 academic year.

If you are interested please send send a short CV and covering letter by e-mail to Neil Thurman (neilt@soi.city.ac.uk).
