LinkedIn announced Thursday it has hired veteran journalist Katrina Brooker from Bloomberg News
Brooker will serve as a senior editor focusing on in-depth features and profiles related to the business and professional landscape, effective Dec. 7.
“I’ve never met a reporter who can get people to open up like Katrina can,” said LinkedIn executive editor Daniel Roth in a statement. “Her experience writing features on newsmakers in far-flung industries — finance, tech, sports and beyond — will further cement LinkedIn as the top destination for professionals to read and share news and insights across the globe.”
Brooker began her career at Forbes and has written for many publications including Fortune, Conde Nast Portfolio and The New York Times, among others. Most recently, Brooker served as a senior writer at Bloomberg News where she wrote profiles on many of the most powerful figures and companies.
The LinkedIn editorial team is currently comprised of journalists from publications such as the Associated Press, Fortune, The Wall Street Journal, Reuters, and Wired, among other news organizations.
