Lin joins IHS Markit as climate and sustainability reporter

Max Tingyao Lin has joined HIS Markit as a climate and sustainability reporter.

In his new role, Lin will cover the energy transition, clean technology, ESG investing, climate risk, and decarbonization policy developments in Asian and other countries for Net-Zero Business Daily and Connect Platform.

Previously, he was a correspondent covering global oil shipping, marine energy transition and seaborne trade data for TradeWinds in London. He also helped launch the publication’s first business intelligence report that focused on environmental regulations for shipping.

He has also covered a wide range of Asia’s maritime shipping matters, such as financing and freight markets, and was a markets editor, leading and training sector specialists in Singapore, London and New York for Lloyd’s List in London.

Lin has also worked at Dow Jones Newswires and Thomson Reuters.
