The layoffs at the New York Daily News include two business journalists, reports Keith Kelly of the New York Post.
Kelly writes, “Phyllis Furman, who had been lured to the paper from Crain’s New York Business in 1997, got a pink skip along with her business reporting colleague, Elizabeth Lazarowitz, who is on maternity leave.”
Lazarowitz was an assistant business editor at the Daily News for the past three and a half years. She spent 14 years as a reporter at Reuters and has degrees from Michigan and Columbia.
