Ryan Lawler, who worked at TechCrunch from 2012 to 2015, is returning to the tech news site to focus on fintech.
He will be working primarily with the ExtraCrunch team.
Lawler has been head of content at Samsung NEXT for the past four years. He was also a partner in the venture capital firm 500 startups.
At TechCrunch, he wrote breaking news and analysis about strategic business alliances, startup financing, leadership changes, and M&A activity. He previously worked at GigaOm.
