The Las Vegas Review-Journal has cut its Saturday printed stock listings and recommended subscribers get those prices online, according to a short story.
The story stated, “Beginning with today’s edition, the Review-Journal will no longer offer four pages of stock and mutual fund listings in its Business section every Saturday.
“The Business section will continue to offer the Markets at a Glance roundup page every Tuesday through Saturday, but it will no longer offer any kind of weekly roundup of stock and mutual fund listings.
“The Review-Journal, like other newspapers across the country, has been cutting back on its stock lists for the past several years because of the rising cost of newsprint and the declining need for newspaper stock lists. Stock and other financial information is now easily accessible at numerous Web sites, including the Review-Journal’s, and most newspaper readers now obtain up-to-the-minute information about their stock holdings online.”
