Eli Segall has joined the Business staff of the Las Vegas Review-Journal to cover real estate in a market that was at the epicenter of the housing bust.
Most recently, Segall covered commercial and residential real estate for the Las Vegas Sun and so he brings his expertise across town to the Review-Journal. In addition to covering breaking news and enterprise, Segall will also write a weekly column on real estate issues.
Segall grew up in the Bay Area, right outside San Jose. He has a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Michigan and a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Maryland. He has worked for Silicon Valley Community Newspapers, The Associated Press, Silicon Valley Business Journal and, since 2012, the Las Vegas Sun.
He has received awards for business reporting, explanatory journalism and feature writing from the Nevada Press Association, the California Newspaper Publishers Association and the California Teachers Association.
