The Puget Sound Business Journal has named Ryan Lambert as its new editor in chief, effective immediately.

A story on its website states, “Lambert succeeds Emily Parkhurst, who became the Business Journal’s publisher and market president in October. He has served in dual roles as the publication’s creative director and sections editor for the last two years.

“‘I am thrilled to announce Ryan as the next leader of our newsroom,’ Parkhurst said. ‘During the past four years, Ryan has been a critical part of our news operation and successes. His influence has been far reaching, and we anticipate he will take our editorial department to new heights.’

“Lambert joined the Puget Sound Business Journal in October 2014 and led the development of the publication’s creative department, which has since been recognized multiple times by the Society of Professional Journalists and the Society of News Design for its work. He added sections editor to his title in September 2016, overseeing special reports and research at the PSBJ.”
