Lauren LaCapra of Reuters has been hired by the New York Federal Reserve Bank as a content strategist.
She will start on Oct. 18.
LaCapra has worked in journalism since 2005, first in data visualization and then in reporting, editing, managing and spearheading digital projects. Most recently she was finance editor for Reuters in the Americas, and previously spent time at Fusion, TheStreet, The Associated Press and The Wall Street Journal.
At Reuters, she oversaw a team of reporters covering large financial institutions, including how they operate in global businesses and markets, how they are regulated and how they are policed by enforcement agencies. Her remit included emerging companies in the financial technology and cryptocurrency space.
In recent months she helped launch a Reuters website vertical called The Future of Money, which examines the way banks, startups, consumers and businesses are embracing new ways of transacting.
