LA Business Journal reporter Reim resigns for Flight International

Los Angeles Business Journal tech reporter Garrett Reim has resigned from the paper for a new job.

His last day is March 2. Starting March 5, he will be covering military aerospace companies for FlightGlobal, the London-based publisher of the weekly magazine Flight International.

He will be based in Los Angeles and will report on military fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters, drones and rockets – basically anything that flies.

Reim has been at the Business Journal since March 2015. Before that, he was a staff writer at Built In.

A graduate of Pepperdine University, Reim also worked as a sales representative at Southwestern Industries and as a research intern at the Cato Institute.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
