Paul Eakins

Los Angeles Business Journal editor Jonathan Diamond sent the following message to the staff:

Good Morning All,

I’m pleased to let you know that we’ll be joined on Monday by Paul Eakins, who will be assuming the spot Olga is vacating as she moves on to greater adventures.

Paul has been freelancing for the last few months, including riding herd on our inaugural LA500. As a result, he comes into the newsroom equipped with a Rolodex of some 500 folks we all ought to know. Before becoming a “journalism entrepreneur,” Paul held a number of editing positions in the area, including serving as Local Editor of the Orange County Register, Senior Editor for Community Weeklies (a Register product), Editor of the Long Beach Register, and City Editor of the Long Beach Press Telegram.

A Long Beacher himself, he’ll be covering trade and transportation, manufacturing, and aerospace for us, a beat well-suited to his geography.

Please join me in welcoming him on his arrival Monday.
