Alex Weprin of TVNewser.com reports Friday afternoon that CNBC‘s Dennis Kneale is expected to leave the business network for competitor Fox Business Network, where he will cover media and advertising.
Weprin writes, “We have calls out to Fox Business, and will update when we hear back.
“Kneale’s departure is not a surprise. His on-air role at CNBC was diminished over the Summer when he was pulled off the mid-day show ‘Power Lunch,’ and a number of outlets reported that he was likely to leave the network when his contract expired this month.
“Now it appears that Kneale will be reunited with his old CNBC colleague Charlie Gasparino, the same man he had this memorable exchange with back in 2008. Gasparino left CNBC for FBN in February of this year.”
