Branden Pedersen has been hired by Kiplinger Personal Finance as a writer and a fact checker.
He starts on Sept. 10.
Pedersen spent the summer working as a reporter at BusinessDen.com, which covers business news in Colorado, as a Dow Jones News fund intern. He graduated from DePaul University in Chicago with a degree in journalism and political science.
He worked at Kiplinger last summer as part of the American Society of Magazine Editor’s summer immersion program, when he got to know the staff and got a sense for how they do business.
“It’s a great team that’s done really well under Mark Solheim‘s leadership since he took over last year, and I’m excited to see where we’re headed next,” said Pedersen.
Pedersen has also worked at NBC Chicago and as a research assistant for University of Chicago Booth School of Business professor and Chicago Booth Review editor-in-chief Hal Weitzman.
