CNBC has promoted Sunny Kim to the post of associate producer on its Make It team. Kim has been with the network since 2019 and has covered politics, breaking news, social media and video.
Previously, she held the post of digital associate at CNBC.
She was also the founder and president of Asian American Journalists Association at the University of Texas at Austin. She was also selected as one of 80 T. Howard Foundation summer 2018 interns and worked at Hearst Magazines in New York.
She has also worked as a science and tech reporter at The Daily Texan, the student newspaper of the University of Texas at Austin. She was also a reporting intern at The Daily Dot and has also interned at Access to Culture.
She was also a general assignment reporter and a news desk editor at The Daily Texan. She has also written for Burntx and Spark Magazine Inc.
Kim holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Texas at Austin.
